Jesse Bear Care -Life is precious hold it gently'- Supporting Teenage Mums and their Babies.

• In 2007, 1% of teenage girls became pregnant or were giving birth.
• About 90% of teenage mothers are unmarried and 60% have no partner when giving birth.
• Unsupported teenagers are more likely to have a low birth weight and premeturity and suffer from Post Natal Depression and / or have a Mental Illness.

Scooter Santa -Bringing Christmas Cheer to People with Disabilities

Holidays are a special time to be with the people we love and show them how much we care; that is what it is like for most of us.

Not so for many; many are no longer waiting for cards or presents in the mail or a phone call, presents are far and few between; often having to pay for their own presents; Disability Pension just doesn't’t allow for much. They are left to wonder if the "postcard" Christmas from T.V. exists anymore. "Christmas" and "alone" are two words that should never be connected.

There’s an old Christmas song that says, "It’s the most wonderful time of the year." And for the average person it rings true. Yet for many Children, Young People and Adults with Disabilities, Christmas is a season to survive. Depression, grief, mental health and loneliness are often exacerbated.

How it works:

• A team of volunteer Santa Claus's ride their Scooter to your home;
• Is at NO cost to the person, family or supporting organisation;
• We will ensure that each present is delivered individually;
• Santa will interact with each Person with a Disability;
• Santa will stay as long is is practical;
• Make it a memorable day;
• Each present is personal; and
• Provide photographs of the visit.

Jesse's Voice is gearing up to deliver over 2000 Christmas Presents through the Scooter Santa in 2008. The Scooter santa will be on the Central Coast roads through out December. Give him a wave.
